The House of Prayer’s strategy
Experience proves that the House of Prayer is the most efficient tool for evangelisation. Positive results are achieved thanks to the strategy which was shown in the Houses of Prayer by The Lord. Many times we see the same people attending evangelisation meetings and religious sessions who are happy to see each other in such considerable number. But where are those who are far away from Jesus? They are far away and maybe even further away by now. Out of this observation, the strategy followed by Houses of Prayer is the Multiplication factor and Oikos.
1. Multiplication factor – people who are far away from Jesus and do not attend a prayer group are invited. After a while, those people who did not know Jesus are changed in a House of Prayer and open their own House of Prayer where they too invite those who are maybe even farther from Jesus than they used to be. And so the number of those who meet Jesus, accept Him in their lives and live a life of God’s children is multiplied. In this way, a person who never crossed the borders of his or her town and would never speak to “big” sinners, participates in the evangelisation of the whole country.
2. Oikos – Houses of Prayer exist for themselves, but they are a part of an evangelisation system based on the OIKOS. What is OIKOS? It is a word meaning a house – place where people live and create relationships. It is a living space. This space is created by family, neighbours, friends, colleagues, people I know, my barber, repairer, baker… If we want to reach “the ends of the earth” (Sk 1,8) we have to start with our closest who have “their” oikos and the Gospel will be spread without assistance. It is the most natural process of evangelisation used also by the primary Church that did not have any media, did not organize any campaigns and still affected the whole world.
